In 2018, Primo Foods identified consumer-oriented drivers to unlock additional category growth. Primo’s mission is to encourage consumers and shoppers to more confidently interact with and purchase sliced meats, bacon and other smallgood segments, and as such, innovation is a critically important element of successfully executing this mission. The Primo innovation team was able to inspire additional product offerings through the following concepts:

  • Hero at home: Delivering tasty and convenient solutions for all meal occasions
  • Easy entertainer: Making deli meats the go-to option for social occasions, while ensuring ease, connection and status
  • Better lunchbox: Enhancing lunches by broadening the repertoire of deli meats as the ideal partner for the sandwich, wrap or salad
  • Snack fuel: Combining convenience and taste for sustaining energy between meals
  • Add some flavor: Driving deli meats as the incremental ingredients to everyday meals to add flavor and sophistication
